Hello everyone,
I made a spur of the moment trip to the Stuarts Draft area this morning
1-8-05. I left
Amherst at 7AM. First I went to Bells Lane to
look for the Cackling Geese. I was not diss-
appointed, I had just turned onto Bells Lane and saw a flock of geese to the
right on top
of the hill. I pulled of the road and scaned the geese and there they were 3 of
them. They
were easy to spot because of their size and
other features. Then I went to Guthrie Rd.
There I saw 2 large flocks of Horned Larks.
I think I saw a Longspur but it flew off before I got a good view. There was
also White Crowned Sparrows along the road. I also
went to the Target Warehouse. I also heard
Larks. I drove around a while and found a flock
of 50+ White Crowned Sparrows.
