[va-bird] Tree Sparrows in western Loudoun Co

On a late afternoon walk in my neighborhood I observed 7 American Tree Sparrows
along Ebenezer Church Rd (Rt 779) across from Legacy Farm in a scrubby patch of
shrubs & brambles. Interestingly enough, when we ran all over that area
looking for birds in one of the Calmes Neck CBC sectors on Sunday we found only
two Am. Tree Sparrows and they were miles apart. Guess the weather up north
has finally begun to push them down in significant numbers.
I was looking for Harriers & Short-eared Owls but had no luck. The sparrows
were a nice consolation prize.
