I went to Blandy this afternoon, and had luck seeing the Warbler. I arrived
at about 1:00 pm, and spent the first part of the time near the Pavillion.
There was a small flock of kinglets & chickadees, but no sign of the
warbler. So I went over to the cedars between the Quarters and the other
building (closer to the parking lot - can't remember the name). And in the
small, dense trees that branch over the trail that goes east(?) I first saw
the bird. It was about 1:50 at this point. Enda ? was there, and she and
her sherpa ;-) husband were on it. So I went back to the Pavillion to look
for other birders who were hanging out there. Found two more birders (one
just in from Louisiana), but not these two guys from Charlottesville who I
had been speaking with earlier. In any case, we went back to the cedars,
and got brief but identifiable looks at the bird. Other birders showed up
(incl. the 2 other guys), and we all got decent looks at it eventually. I
left the area at about 2:30, and don't know how much longer it was seen.

Good birding,
