Happy New Year to all
Yesterday instead of taking our usual annual trip to Lake Moomaw , Pat & I
decided to check out the Black -- throated Gray Warbler at Blandy . This bird
is worth the trip up north . What a way to start out the New Year for your life
list & year list . This little bird made everyone get in some exercise by
walking all the way down the tree line & back ! On our way back home we took
Rt. 340 South & just before the County line we saw a Public Fishing Landing
sign & decided to check the lake out . Here we found a flock of Canada's & one
Imm. Tundra Swan .
Back in Augusta County we stopped by Bells Lane where we had the usual flock on
Canada's , one Imm. Snow Goose , 3 Black Duck , 28 Gadwall , 5 Green -- winged
Teal , & 2 Shoveler's .
Happy New Year birding to all
