Greetings,
I was glad to see the imm. Trumpeter Swan (or whatever it is) back at the
little stock pond on the north side of Parkgate Rd., this morning around
11:15. I had to stand on the hood of my Jeep to see the bird down in the
pond. The pond was not completely frozen and the bird was working on some
aquatic vegetation when I first arrived. It later came up on the bank and
preened for a while. There were only four Canada Geese with the swan. Ken
Bass and I spent three hours driving around Nokesville yesterday morning
trying to find the bird, with no luck.
