[va-bird] Trumpeter Swan AND Greater WF Goose 1/12

Greetings,
The immature Trumpeter Swan in Nokesville (Prince William County) was seen
this morning from 9:30 a.m. until noon when I left. The Canada Goose flock it
was in, was initially in the field near the Parkgate/Brookfield intersection
and later flew to the field where we originally saw it yesterday...less than
a mile east down Parkgate from that intersection, on the north side. Fran and
Ken Bass came out and were able to get some great video and stills for
documentation. Tom Pendleton picked out a beautiful GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GOOSE (adult Greenland race) in the Canada flock.
If you come out to look for these birds and you find the Canada flock in the
north field along Parkgate, but don't see the Trumpeter Swan, it might be
down in the "stock dam".. a small pond out in the field. At one point I had
to stand up on the hood of my Jeep to see it.
