Hi everyone,

It was my pleasure to meet all of you who atteneded this weekend. The NCSF's final Harrington Beach public observing session of 2005 was a great success. We're going to get an early start in 2006, with Ski & Stars events in January and February at Harrington Beach and Pike Lake state parks.

Our roll-off roof observatory should be built and the 20" Panarusky Telescope operational this coming spring. Plans include observing pads and other astronomical-themed landscaping in the area just northeast of the picnic shelter at Puckett's Pond.

The next NCSF meeting is coming up this Thursday. We will be observing Mars and other celestial objects, weather permitting. A short business meeting will also be held. We meet at the Unitarian Church North (UCN), in the basement, starting at 6:30pm on November 3rd.

In November and early December, we will be giving "Buying You First Telescope" talks at UCN in Mequon. I will pass along the exact dates and times once they are established. If the Urban Stargazers would like, I could give the same talk at a meeting or other venue as well.

On a personal note: Faye, you and Taylor are very welcome. I very much enjoyed observing with you both! Thanks for the kind words -- I'm touched!

--------------------------------- We just wanted to say thank you to everyone last night at Harrington Beach. Especially to Rebecca and Jeff for helping us out. Jeff, Taylor & I wanted to say a special thank you to you, you've rekindled the passion that we have for astronomy and reassured us that we made a good choice. Thank you so much for spending so much time shepherding us. We both really appreicate it.

I have to say that everyone I've met and the people
who post here are some of the nicest people I've every
encountered.

Again, Thank you to all.

Clear Skies.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
