[Try Astronomy] Question

I agree with these folks, Faye... perhaps just another
view through a different scope to make sure that yours
is as it should be.... also haven't noticed anyone so
far mention 'light pollution' type filters. I would
like to be there observing, not sure if I can make it
tomorrow night, but would like to try....

I have an 8" Dob I have enjoyed for years.... small by
their standards I see, but have just ordered a new
XT12 dob from Orion... will be about a month before I
get it though.

I would think a 10" would always give you a better
view than a 5" (though I certainly could be wrong), in
theory at least it should always bring 'more' into
view.

JMO.

If I do make it, I do have a lightpollution type
filter that you can certainly try out for yourself..
1.25 eyepiece filter.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you still
can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
