[TN-Bird] Tundra Swans & Snow Geese in Blount County

Responding to a telephone call from Gail's brother, we briefly saw four
Tundra Swans in Louisville in Blount County this evening. The location was the
shallow water near the intersection of Louisville Road and Miser Station Road.
We arrived just before 5 p.m. and the swans lifted off and flew north at 5:08.
We did not get to view much of their legs but did not spot any bands. One swan
had yellow at the rear of its bill with a rounded border.
A good viewing spot was from Lake Terrace Townhouses at 2843 Louisville
Road. Maybe they will return Saturday morning.
Gail's brother also mentioned two white geese in a field. They looked like
Snow Geese to us. To find that field, turn right off Louisville Road onto
Miser Station Road. Cross the bridge and turn right onto Little Dug Gap Road.
Soon after that turn, turn right onto Lillard Lane at a veterinary clinic. Go
down Lillard Lane past the barn and the field is on the left across from a
partially constructed log house. The geese were still there when we left about
5:45.
