Location:     TN 2 Mem,TVA PONDS
Observation date:     12/4/07, 315-435pm

Notes:     Cold night last night to the point where the backyard fountain
froze up. So were there more birds today at the TVA impoundments? Yes. Coots
were back in good numbers,couple hundred. Alot of birds on the near side
bank out of sight from the road. Probably there yesterday just out of sight.
I think there was another good group behind the phragamites but wouldn't
come into range. Probably more birds (Scaup and Ring Necks ) than actually
counted because they were pretty active this late afternoon. Several good
sized groups came and went out of the main raft of birds making counting
tough. Sunshine and smooth waters helped show off the Scaup though. Good
looks at the Greaters scattered in the raft. 750-1000 birds estimated on the
impoundments today.
