I spent about an hour and a half at mid-day today in the 
Russellville-Whitesburg area of Hamblen County.  Highlights included:

Bufflehead (14, pond at Young's Furniture Manufacturing Company, on Needmore 
Road);
Ruddy Duck (pond at Young's Furniture Manufacturing Company, on Needmore Road);
Pied-billed Grebe (Cherokee Lake at Three Springs Boat Dock);
Great Blue Heron (4);
Sharp-shinned Hawk (near Three Springs Boat Dock);
Cooper's Hawk (2);
Red-tailed Hawk (2);
American Kestrel (3);
American Crow (445);
Common Grackle (2000+).
