[TN-Bird] Kingston [Roane] -- Crows attacking a cat

Hi all
I hope I styled my subject line correctly. Been so long since I posted that
I've forgotten the rules. This is about an incident in Kingston, Roane County,
East TN.
Yesterday, my ex called to report that my step-cat was attacked by 3 American
crows** and came in the house missing a bit of skin and fur. It makes sense,
since crows chase hawks, owls, and other predators, but neither of us has heard
of a cat-mobbing before.
Have any of you heard of crows mobbing cats?? If so, I would be very interested
in your experiences.
Happy holidays,
Liz Singley

**(are we listing genus/species these days? Corvus brachyrhynchos, I think)
