I took a quick trip to Kyker Bottoms in southern Blount county today.   
Between 1:30 - 3 PM, (partly cloudy, 42 degrees, S 10-15mph) I observed or  
heard 
the following:
Great blue heron     1

Ring-necked duck    6+

Northern pintail    2
Northern shoveler    8+
Green-winged teal    30+

N. harrier male    1
Red-shouldered hawk    2
Red-tailed hawk    2
Kestrel    1
Black vulture    14
Turkey vulture    2
Am. coot    20+
Mourning dove    4
E. Screech owl    2
N. flicker    2
downy woodpecker    2
Pileated woodpecker    2
E. phoebe    2
Am. crow    23
