[TN-Bird] TN birds Brainerd Levee Am Bittern

TN birders,
Getting my walk in yesterday after work, when I turned around at the 1.2 mile
marker, I had not gone 20-30 paces when an American bittern flushed out of the
ditch that parallels the levee. It was at the point where the nearest point of
the nearest mitigation pond is. The bird flew along the tree line on the right
of the pond and disappeared behind the trees. It was 5:39pm. No unusual
waterfowl species, but I did not see either Am wigeon or Am black duck. A call
to Kevin Calhoun revealed this might be a first Hamilton Co record for this
species.
