[TN-Bird] Firsts of the season and feeder activity

Following the advice of another lister I bought 2 bags of black oil sunflower
seeds on Friday. I also bought some more suet and suet hangers and one more
large bird feeder for the sunflower seeds.
More Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice than you can shake a stick at
now. And also a few White-breasted Nuthatches. Interesting to see a nuthatch
grab
one seed in his mouth and climb back up the trunk to find a suitable spot to
hammer the seed open and then climb back down to get another one and continue
that process.
First White-throated Sparrow in our yard on Saturday, December 10. First
Yellow-rumped Warbler in our yard this morning.
I'm hoping that the black oil sunflower seeds will attract other species of
birds as well as the Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice. However, it's
enjoyable to watch them. As soon as one or two leave another one or two arrive
at
the feeder. Just constantly like that almost all day.
