[TN-Bird] squirrel shortage

I've noticed a definite drop-off in the squirrel population that comes to my
yard. They haven't been at the feeders, hogging the suet or coming for
peanuts when I throw them out in the morning for the bluejays (instead of
squirrels, two towhees have been showing up first thing, grabbing a peanut
and flying off with it). I wonder what happened to them as I usually have
at least 4 or 5 squirrels, now just an occasional sighting of one. Guess I
should enjoy the respite; I'm sure they'll be back.
