Hi  Birders,
In case you did not see it on the WSMV, Channel 4, News yesterday, two 
rehabilitated American bald eagles were released at 4121 (?) Cleece's Ferry 
Road in 
the Bell's Bend area of the Cumberland River west of Nashville yesterday by 
the TWRA (?) with both Senators Frist and Alexander in attendance.  A group 
sang 
THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER as "America" and "Patriot" were released and flew 
quickly and strongly for the nearest hills away from the green, grassy meadow 
from which they were "launched."  Channel 4 did some fine coverage, and weekend 
news anchor Alan Frio seemed really impressed with the eagles from the 
comments he made.  That area is just across the river from which I am only 4 
blocks 
away in the Charlotte Park area of West Nashville, so I'll keep my eyes skyward 
in case either of them decides to explore over my area as one of the resident 
Bell's Bend bald eagles does once in a great while.  I'm tickled to have 
"America"  and "Patriot" as potential neighbors although they may have FLED to 
Reelfoot or some other far away place by now.

What a Christmas present for those birds--their FREEDOM to fly again!
