Hi folks,
No, I'm not talking about representative Taylor, that guy from NC who
is always working against the park. I'm talking about the real
thing: Wild Turkeys. They seem to be hanging around the Sugarlands
Visitor Center (Sevier County) a lot recently. I drive by there 6
times this week, and 4 times 2 weeks ago, and they were every single
time. Several other folks have made similar comments to me. Nearly
every time it's been 4-6 hens. Most often they are about 1/4-1/2
mile west of the VC, in the direction of Elkmont. A couple times
they have been right next to the VC parking lot.
I last saw a Ruffed Grouse about 2 weeks ago between Tremont Road and
the Townsend Wye, in Blount County.
Charlie
ps, if you want a list of reasons that make rep Taylor detrimental to
the National Park, I'd be happy to share with you.
Charlie
