[TN-Bird] Re: feeder clientele gone missing

I have about the same numbers of most birds, including cardinals and white
throated sparrows (3-4) as last winter. Had one female purple finch at the
feeder one day in November (ditto for last year). I've actually had a
couple new birds this November... a yellow bellied sapsucker that I've seen
several times (on one occasion there were 2 of them) whereas last winter I
only had one single sighting. And I've seen a brown creeper 3 or 4 times (a
new yard bird for me). I was getting worried about the brown thrasher that
I used to see daily when I didn't see it for several weeks, but once the
weather turned colder, a thrasher started coming to the suet again; I'm not
sure it's the same one as its face looks darker down near the bill. A
yellow-rumped warbler has started coming around (about 3 weeks earlier than
last year; last year I had 2 beginning mid December and maybe there are 2
this year, but so far I've only seen one). The only species I've seen
noticeably fewer of are finches... house finches and goldfinches.
