[TN-Bird] Owls and house cats

Marcia
I have occasionally found claws from cats and their fur in owl pellets.
These particular pellets were from a great horned owl. I have examined many
barn owl pellets but have not found remains of cats in them as of yet. They
were usually full of cotton rats, voles, and assorted shrews. However, I
wouldn't be surprised if barn owls, or hawks, occasionally captured smaller
cats.
