I spent a portion of December 9 in the field, concentrating on the river
from the rowing center up to Wolftever Creek and totaled 76 species for
Hamilton co.  Highlights included:

Standifer Gap:

1 Palm Warbler
1 Rusty Blackbird
1 Brown Creeper
50+ Gadwall

Brainerd Levee:

10 Northern Pintails
6 Green-winged Teal
10 Northern Shovelers
3 American Pipit

Windward Point:

2 Red-breasted Mergansers
4 Greater Scaup
30 Lesser Scaup
10 Common Goldeneye
10 Bufflehead
1 Hooded Merganser
26 Horned Grebes
25 Common loons

Wolftever Creek area:

500+ Bonaparte's Gulls
1 Herring Gull (adult)
17 Double-crested Cormorants.  A high number for area.
70 Sandhill Cranes.  Seemed very confused, circled over for about an half
hour.

Soddy Lake:

12 Ring-necked Ducks
31 Ruddy Ducks
20 Hooded Mergansers

Craven's House trails:

8 Winter Wrens
