[TN-Bird] Chickamauga Reservoir birds

I birded a series of creek embayments along the Hiwassee River/Chickamauga
Reservoir today, November 8, 2007. Below is a select list of birds seen at
each embayment. Lake elevation was 677 ft.
South Mouse Creek embayment, Bradley County

2. Mallard- 7
3. Killdeer- 27
4. Least sandpiper- 4
5. Wood duck- 4
6. Wilson snipe- 60
Candies Creek embayment, Bradley County
1. Great blue heron- 27
2. Great egret- 10
3. Killdeer- 124
4. Sandhill crane- 5
5. Wilson snipe- 9
6. Least sandpiper- 7
7. Bonaparte's gull- 1
Sugar Creek embayment, Meigs County
1. Great blue heron- 1
2. American pipit- 9
Hiwassee Refuge viewing area, Meigs County
1. Killdeer- 1
2. Sandhill crane- 27
3. Red-shouldered hawk- 1
4. Great blue heron- 6
5. Double crested cormorant- about 140
6. Gadwall- 37
7. Hooded merganser- 41
