Northern Saw-whet Owl netting night invitation (Project Owl Net)
 

I plan to open mist nets in the woods behind my house this Saturday
evening, Nov 18, between 6 and midnight.  Would like to invite the first
8 individuals who respond to attend.  Participants should be aware that
this is a very experimental project with a high chance of failure but,
this should be near the peak of saw-whet migration and we could make
history with the first banding of a saw-whet in the area.  In 2 nights
of netting I have just caught one screech owl but, I will be employing a
new louder owl call player which may help.  Will be grilling some dogs
for your dining pleasure.  Email for reservations or call me at
