Dear Linda,

You will might want to contact Chris Sloan, (chris.sloan@xxxxxxxxxxx) who
banded the female rufous hummer that I had last fall from the middle of
October til' 12-21-05. It came while the ruby-throats were here and, like
yours it stayed. Mine looked somewhat like the rest of the hummers except
for a few spots of red on the throat and a rufous color in the tail when it
was spread.

Wouldn't it be great if it was the same bird that I had? Mine disappeared
one night when the temperature dropped to ten degrees but I have been told
that does not necessarily mean it froze to death but just left for a warmer
climate.

Hopefully,
Robbie Hassler
Byrdstown, TN.
