Martha Rudolph and I wolked the fields around Sparks Lane and recorded the
following species, except where noted:

Red-shouldered Hawk 1 
GREATER YELLOWLEGS 1 (Sewage Ponds)
Red-bellied Woodpecker 1
Downy Woodpecker 3 
Northern Flicker 2 
Pileated Woodpecker 4 
Eastern Phoebe 1 
American Crow 10 
Carolina Chickadee 1 
Tufted Titmouse 6 
White-breasted Nuthatch 2 
Carolina Wren 7 
Winter Wren 1 
SEDGE WREN 1 
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1 
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2 
Eastern Bluebird 6 
Hermit Thrush 1 
American Robin 1 
Yellow-rumped Warbler 2 
Eastern Towhee 3 
Field Sparrow 3 
FOX SPARROW 1 
Song Sparrow 23 
Swamp Sparrow 5 
Northern Cardinal 2 
American Goldfinch 13

Also seen: 3 coyotes; an 8-point buck.

There was a "bear jam" on the Loop Road with 4 bears in a tree. Fortunately
we missed this!
