FreeLists / tn-bird / [TN-Bird] Waterfowl at Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery

Friday, having an unusual, unexpected weekday off work, I made a short visit 
to the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery in Clinton, Tennessee (Anderson County).  
Most of the ponds are still dry but there was water in the upper one and at 
least 2 lower ones.  In the topmost pond I found

16 ring-necked ducks
1 American Coot
and 1 Canada Goose.  The Canada was with a group of 5 odd geese, including 
the  Chinese goose that hangs out there and three that looked like a cross 
between Canada geese and the Chinese ones.  The actual Canada Goose looked 
positively dainty beside the others.

Down below were one great blue heron, 5 Mallards, 3 killdeer and a belted 
kingfisher.
