Shorebirds are forever teaching me something, you just never see it all.
There was a good increase in numbers Saturday morning over my previous trip. I
counted at ton of Killdeer, 46 Lesser Yellowlegs, 3 Greater YL, 1 very late
Semipalmated SP, 2 Western SP, 1 Pectoral, 94 Dunlin, 17 Stilt Sandpipers and
19
Wilson's Snipe.

The surprise came while scanning the Stilt Sandpipers, into the scope
strolled a fresh, crisp clean plumaged Stilt but in full alternate or breeding
plumage. Red rouge on the cheeks and barred to beat the band. It was a first
for me,
this really mixed up bird was either coming or going but doing it in style.
If you would like to see this crazy mixed up bird drop me a line............

Good Birding!!!
