[TN-Bird] Surprises at Orgill Park

Cold and rain prevented more than a quick drive-by of Casper Lake, the water
feature at the golf course at Edmund Orgill Park (northern Shelby County).
Large rafts of lesser scaup, shovelers and especially ruddy ducks were present.
A few mallards mooched handouts at the pond next to Center College Rd. Also
present on the lake were a dozen pied-billed grebes; four red-breasted
mergansers and, perched on a telephone wire, a single cold, lonesome and very
late
rough-winged swallow.
