Today (November 7, 03), I birded above Boone Dam at the overlook.  Boone Dam 
is in Sullivan County.  A group or murder of crows were mobbing an

just above the dam near the lower parking lot this morning around 9:30.


One of the biology teachers here at Northeast State Technical Community 
College spotted a Mountain Lion running across the road in Mountain City 
this week.  I'm not sure of the specific details but I am sure that she knew 
what she was looking at.  She told me that lions were released in the area 
about five years ago.  I never heard anything about this.  Does anyone know 
the details of this release?
