For those of you who follow the less-than-imortant minutiae, the AOU has
officially changed the name of the Rock Dove to "Rock Pigeon". So, now we're
OK when we say tha the Nashville peregrine was eating a "pigeon".

there are at this moment (monday, 11-3 at 4 p.m.) two perigrine falcons
atop the bellsouth tower in downtown nashville. one, apparently eating a
rock dove or other unlucky soul, is on the northern corner. the second
took a perch in the "bellsouth" letters at the top.
