A Sunday trip during the calm before the storm resulted in very
limited success,

Rankin Bottoms, Cocke County:

New gravel road bed at the mud flats on the right side after you
enter.

1 male and 1 juvenile Northern Harriers
2 male and 2 female Hooded Mergansers 
5 Greater Yellowlegs
3 Lesser Yellowlegs
20+ Palm warblers
6 Golden Crowned Kinglets
12 Great Blue Herons
50+ Kettle of Black Vultures

Dutch Bottoms, Douglas Lake, just off 25E near Duch Bottoms
Baptist Church:

Water was very low (mud flats were showing cracks) and choppy
due to high winds, with poor scope visibility. 
150+ Great Blue Herons
6 Hooded Mergansers
1 Osprey
