Houston Lane, Chattanooga, Hamilton County
October 11, 2007

Red-breasted Nuthatch:  1 at feeder Oct 2, 3, 7 and numerous times each day 
since, usually see another 1 or 2 during short walks nearby.

Oven Bird:  1 under feeder every day October 3 to date, hops around under 
feeder like a sparrow.

Rose-breasted Grosbeak:  1 female frequently at feeder since September 25.

Two species new to science:

    White-rumped Cardinal:  1 female hanging around yard and feeder for months. 
 Actually it is the left wingtip that is white, but with wings folded it looks 
like a white rump.

    White-backed Carolina Chickadee:  1 frequently around yard and feeder, back 
and "shoulders" mostly white with small gray patches.
