Patience paid off this morning as we sat in the cold for almost an hour with 
nothing moving in our yard.  Then a male American Kestrel flew from behind the 
house where we had not seen him but the birds obviously had.  In a few minutes 
after he left we had Tennessee, Yellow-rumped and Magnolia Warblers and a 
Ruby-crowned Kinglet working through the leaves and weeds.  Then we were really 
excited when two Dark-eyed Juncos, the first-of-the-fall for us, came out of 
the brush pile and were joined by a White-throated Sparrow.  
At least three Ruby-throated Hummingbirds continue to feed and Rose-breasted 
Grosbeak numbers have declined to fewer than ten today.
