[TN-Bird] Window Casualties

With the passage of the cold front yesterday (9 October 2007), I knew it
would be a good night for migration, which translates into a bad night for
window collisions. I walked around some of the worst culprits on the
UT-Chattanooga campus early this morning and picked up 4 Common
Yellowthroats, 3 Swamp Sparrows (the first I have seen this fall), 1 Indigo
Bunting, and 1 Gray Catbird. I also found 3 other yellowthroats and 2 other
Swamp Sparrows that were stunned, but flew off when I approached. The next
couple of nights will probably be similar.
