We've had unusual numbers of Cedar Waxwings moving through our yard today, 
beginning with a flock of 25-30 early this morning in the Tulip Poplar tree 
about 25 feet from our deck.  Smaller groups have continued to feed in the same 
tree all day.  
Tennessee Warblers have also been present all day with the largest flock 
numbering 6.  We also saw Yellow-throated, Black-throated Green, Yellow-rumped 
Warblers and a Yellow-breasted Chat that Virginia heard and saw for a moment 
before it flew.  Vireos were Red-eyed, Yellow-throated, and White-eyed.  Had 
our FOS Golden-crowned Kinglet and a Ruby-crowned also.  Both the Scarlet and 
Summer Tanagers continue to appear and the pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers 
have been here for almost two weeks now.  We heard a Yellow-billed Cuckoo for a 
good while this morning but could never locate it even though at one point it 
was not more than 50 feet away.  

We have not seen Eastern Towhees since Saturday, October 7th, and assume they 
have left.  We're down to 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds this afternoon.  
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks continue at the feeders.
