Today I talked again with Randy Wilson, property manager for the church that 
owns the marsh.  We discussed the need for a management plan which would meet 
the needs of the church and the community, including the railroad, industries 
north of the marsh, and property owners downstream.
The church recognizes the importance of the marsh, and they are eager to 
protect and preserve it.  Mr. Wilson will be asking the church board for 
guidance and authority to begin.

I suggested that Scott Somershoe and Randy Wilson get in touch via e-mail to 
begin the discussion, and gave contact information for Kevin Kalhoon and 
Michael Bierly, important information resources.

If there are other TN-birders who should be or would like to be kept informed, 
please let me know.
