[TN-Bird] FOS Catbird in grape vine

Folks,
Another good bird showed up just now, "skulking" through the grape vine that
surrounds my deck in the Charlotte Park section of West Nashville, Davidson
County. It was my first of the season gray catbird, and it was obviously
searching for grapes. I think it found ONE! The birds have gorged on my
bumper
crop of grapes for several weeks, so the crop is almost totally depleted.
After the catbird got its one grape, it flew out and perched on top of my
grill where it posed long enough for me to get several fairly good photos
through
the glass of my French doors. It then flew back into the grape vine and
worked its way back through all the foliage until it disappeared at the end of
the deck. With no more grapes to eat, it has probably "flown and gone" by
now, and I may not have another all fall/winter. I usually see about one per
year, usually after the grapes are finished. There are still a few poke
berries at the side of the deck, so maybe that will satisfy the catbird if it
finds
them. Just checked, and the catbird and a male cardinal were over there
eating poke berries. The catbird went into hiding but the cardinal flew up
to
the deck rail and posed for photos with a poke berry in its beak allowing for
a couple of very nice shots through the kitchen window.
Happy birding, again.
