[TN-Bird] Red-breasted Nuthatch
- From: "Tommy Curtis" <tcbirdwatch@xxxxxxxxxx>

A few warblers today on the hill - more Tennessees including one that flew into
the side of the house and knocked herself out but recovered after we moved her
to the shade and she rested a few minutes, two immature Bay-breasted, one
Nashville, and a Palm exactly like the one Sibley shows as being of the dark
Western race - dark overall except for the yellow under the tail. Lots of
Flickers, several Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and a Cooper's Hawk added to our
enjoyment. But the bird of the day was a gorgeous Red-breasted Nuthatch that
made numerous trips to the feeders from 4:30 in the afternoon until almost
dark. Second one ever in our yard and first one since October 12, 2004.
