Sorry, I got the happy clicky fingers going this morning.
Didn't mean to send that to the whole list but since I did...
I've seen a few recent reports of Louisiana Waterthrush
lately (as is common every year) at least one with notes
and details but most without. It's easy to forget that
this species is such an early migrant and mostly gone from
North America by mid-August.
Not that we should automatically pass off every waterthrush
seen after mid-August as a Northern (Stupka reported a
well-documented LA Waterthrush in Gatlinburg in Dec 1954 to
Jan 1955). But late reports should be well-documented and
submitted to The Migrant and North American Birds.

Can you give details on the two waterthrushes? Please keep
in mind that this species is one of the earliest migrants
and VERY rare anywhere in NAmerica after mid August. The
habitat at Brainerd is also much more likely for Northern
Waterthrush which would still be passing through.
Thanks,
Dean Edwards
