I birded TVA's Kingston Steam (Fossil) Plant in Roane County, TN on October
7, 2005 from 10:50am to 11:30.
Besides killdeer no other shorebirds were observed. Water level is up in
the one sedimentation pond typically having shorebirds.
Notable birds:
Northern Shoveler- fall Adult male plumage. This plumage is found on page
86 of The Sibley Guide to Birds (North America- I don't know what page it is
found on Sibley's eastern guide).
Redhead duck- probably the same one that has been there for weeks.
Blue-winged teal- at least 18.
