[TN-Bird] Native Plants in Greenback

Hi Birders,
I was prowling around on the internet today and checked Meredith
Clebsch's Native Gardens website. I knew that her fall open nursery (in
Greenback, TN) was coming up soon. I have bought many of her native,
bird-friendly plants over the years and credit her with most of the
nice birds that drop by my backyard. Plant it and they will come.
If you've never been out to Native Gardens, I'd recommend dropping by
during the open nursery and taking your binoculars with you. There is
always something nice flitting about and there is a peace and quiet you
just don't get here in "the city." Anyway, I stumbled across special
little deal for TOS members as I was checking on the Open House hours
and days. If you are interested in planting natives or if you just want
a quick peaceful getaway in the country, check out her website and
click on Fall Open Nursery.
As far as bird sightings, I've been a bit busy lately. However I did
notice that 6-8 nighthawks attended the Bearden/Webb High School
football game (in west Knoxville) on 9/26, but missed the 10/3 game
with Science Hill. Do you suppose they moved on south? Or were they
Webb High School fans just over for the game?
