FreeLists / tn-bird / [TN-Bird] Ring-necked Pheasant in Williamson County

A male Ring-necked Pheasant was seen in Williamson County on October 2 and 
today, October 7 by Lucy Weicker, niece of NTOS member Lucy Finch.  It was near 
the road on Osborn Rd., less than .1 mile east of Wilson Pk (Hwy 252).  
Osborne Rd. is about 1 mile north of Hwy 96 and Arrington, TN.  The Birds of 
the 
Nashville Area   (1985) states that this introduced species has not been 
reported 
since 16 December, 1978.
