Virginia Rail: 2 or more today and every time I have checked (nearly every 
other day) since September 22,
also July 31 

Sora: 2 or more today and every time I have checked since September 15

Pied-billed Grebe,  Coot,  Green Heron (a little late?)

House Wren (2) and Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Along the ditch or slough that runs at right angles to the black top road:  

    Savannah and Lincoln's Sparrows, 2 or more of each

    Palm Warblers and Yellowthroats and a few Tennessees

    and numerous Song Sparrows. This is an easy walk for 
    sparrows right now.  I was surprised that I didn't find any 

    Marsh or Sedge Wrens.
