Hello everyone,

I am working on an article on birdwatching for an upcoming issue of 
Knoxville's weekly newspaper, Metro Pulse, and I have a couple of 
general questions for anyone who cares to respond, beginner to expert. 
So as not to clutter up this list, please send responses only to me, 
either at this address or to sourpersimmon@xxxxxxxxx

What got you started as a birdwatcher?
What keeps you active?
What sort of lists or records do you keep?

I am also hoping to talk to people who have done "big years" or "big 
sits." If you have done either of those things and are willing to talk 
to me about it, send me a note, and we can arrange a phone call.
