[TN-Bird] A great ten minutes (red-breasted nuthatch and warbler)

We always keep an eye on or small water feature, and today I went to top it up
and surprised a rather bold red-breasted nuthatch. He was so anxious to drink
that he fluttered about only 6 feet away from me. I backed off so he could get
to the water and then watched from in the house. Kay could not see him, she
just had a laser correction after cataract surgery, so missed him. We had one
as a resident all winter in 2005-06. Shortly afterwards an unusual warbler went
to the same spot. This proved to be a first winter female chestnut-sided
warbler. The wing bars were as prominent yellow as shown by Dunn/Garrett
Warblers (Peterson Guides) not the much whiter appearence seen in Sibley and
the National Geo guides. Ralph and Kay Brinkhurst, Lebaqnon, Wilson Coutnty.
