Gil Derouen, Reece Jamerson and Bryan Stevens birded Musick's Campground,
South Holston Lake, and Paddlecreek Pond, Bristol, in Sullivan County, on
Tues.,
Sept. 11.
At Musick's:
1 adult Bald Eagle; earlier in day, Rick Knight reported an immature Bald
Eagle
6 Black Terns
12 Forster's Terns
1 Greater Yellowlegs, flying over and giving good demonstration of three-note
call
1 Killdeer
1 Great Egret
4 Great Blue Herons
40 Tree Swallows
60 Black Vultures
At Paddlecreek:
25 Wood Ducks
2 Spotted Sandpipers
3 Green Herons
2 Mallards
1 Killdeer
2 Pied-billed Grebes
2 Belted Kingfisher
Within one mile of Paddlecreek, Cooper's Hawk flew across road.
