Observed yesterday: 20 shorebird species, plus a few other notables--

Great Egret (43)
Black-crowned Night-Heron
Bald Eagle (2 adults)
Ring-billed Gull

Black-bellied Plover
American Golden-Plover
Semipalmated Plover (8)
Killdeer (175+)
Greater Yellowlegs (12)
Lesser Yellowlegs (40)
Solitary Sandpiper (3)
Willet (2)
Spotted Sandpiper (3)
Red Knot (juvenile, at point-blank range)
Sanderling (3)

Pectoral Sandpiper (23)
Stilt Sandpiper (4)
Buff-breasted Sandpiper (3)
Short-billed Dowitcher (at least 1)
Wilson's Phalarope

unidentified peeps (1-2 dozen)

In general, shorebird numbers were down in comparison with last week, though
species diversity was obviously high.

Great trip, Michael. Many thanks.
