[TN-Bird] Lewis County: Golden-winged Warbler, others

The year's first Golden-winged Warbler appeared this morning (Sep 11
2006) in our yard in the form of a gorgeous and cooperative male.
His golden crown and wing patch were glowing; his black throat and
cheek patches were crisp. Between my having spent so much time out
west in recent decades, and this species' population declines, this
bird has become a rare treat for me. He brings the tally of warblers
I've found in Tennessee this year up to 36 species (somehow I missed
Orange-crowned in the spring; hopefully I'll find one later this fall).
The first Canada Warbler of the autumn also put in an appearance this
morning, a handsome bird, too.
