[TN-Bird] Is it possible?

Yesterday, I watched as a hummingbird was drinking from the hummingbird
feeder right outside my kitchen window. I was just inches from the bird. I
didn't
see this particular bird again today, but was not home very much. The bird I
saw yesterday had a very dark throat and head, and a very white chest. I
remember how the white stood out against the very dark throat and head. It's
back and tail were greenish. It's wings at rest appeared brownish. Along the
bottom and corners of the gorget was a definite purple or amethyst color.
Could
it be possible this bird was a Black-Chinned Hummingbird? I know this is not
anywhere near it's home turf, but it seemed so different from the
Ruby-Throated.
