After seeing 74 yard birds last month, the first day of September was a
good beginning for this one with 44.  Warblers included Yellow, 3
Magnolias, m & f Tennessee, f American Redstart, Yellow-breasted Chat,
and Black & White.  In addition there was an immature male Baltimore
Oriole, Summer and Scarlet Tanagers, Blue and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks,
and White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos.  The highlights of the day were an
immature Olive-sided Flycatcher in the same tree where we had a mature
one last year in late August and an immature Red-headed Woodpecker a few
minutes later in the same tree. We didn't see any Common Nighthawks
after observing 5 fly over yesterday morning around 9:00.
